Work With Us

Don't Send A Résumé.
Send Us Something You Built.

The people here tend to show up with a prototype, not a pitch. Build something small with our thinking (a demo that measures or reveals something), then drop the link. That tells us more than a CV ever could.

About IMPACTER Pathway

We're a Human Skills Analytics company building the measurement infrastructure schools have always needed and never had — the ability to see student growth in the competencies that actually predict long-term success: purpose, grit, curiosity, perspective-taking, compassion. Our platform turns authentic student voice into rubric-aligned, decision-grade insight for districts, county offices, and state systems.

The Role

This isn't a software engineering role — we have a full-stack team that ships our production code. We're hiring a tinkerer: someone who's discovered that with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor in hand, they can take a real district problem from sketch to working prototype in an afternoon, and wants to do that all day inside a K-12 EdTech company with real customers.

What You'll Do

  • Turn real problems from districts, county offices, and school sites into working product solutions in days, not months
  • Design and ship polished UX/UI surfaces using Claude Code, Codex, and the modern AI-building stack
  • Prototype dashboards, internal tools, and district reports — the stuff between "what if" and "here, try this"
  • Partner with our ML and engineering team on anything touching production or the scoring pipeline — they're the engineers, you're the builder

Who You Are

  • You've shipped things with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, or Replit — and you can show us
  • Curious, restless, strong design sense, strong async writing
  • K-12 / education / teaching background is a major plus

Not For You If

  • You want a traditional software engineering job — we have engineers, you're not one of them
  • You think coding is the qualification — it isn't, building is

Logistics

Remote, Pacific-hours overlap, SoCal preferred for occasional in-person sprint days. Must be authorized to work in and physically based in the US — FERPA/COPPA require all work and data handling to stay within the US.

How to apply: your LinkedIn or résumé, a live link to something you've built or shipped with an AI-building tool (required, not optional), and a short note on why you'd thrive here. We screen on what you've built, not what you've claimed.

About IMPACTER Pathway

Our platform turns authentic student voice into rubric-aligned, decision-grade insight for districts, county offices, and state systems.

The Role

Same bar as our Product Builder role, earlier stage. You're a recent grad, current student, or career-changer who's taught yourself to build with AI tools and wants a real place to grow that into a craft — paired with a senior Product Builder while you ramp toward owning things end to end.

What You'll Do

  • Take smaller-scope prototypes and internal tools from idea to working demo, with a mentor reviewing as you go
  • Learn our AI-building stack and our product's actual scoring logic well enough to build responsibly around it
  • Sit in on customer conversations and start translating what you hear into things you can build

Who You Are

  • You've built something — even small — with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, or Replit
  • Education background (current or former teacher, ed school, school site staff) is a strong plus, not a requirement
  • Coachable, honest about what you don't know yet, genuinely restless to learn

Not For You If

  • You're looking for a fully self-directed role on day one — this one comes with real mentorship, by design
